The Animadverto Per Rattus Norvegicus (animadverto per meaning "See through" Rattus meaning "Rat" and Norvegicus meaning "Norway") also known as the Invisible Rat is one of the most common and well known rats of the near future. With seven different titles, The New Brown Rat, The Hiding Sewer Rat, The Un-Commonly Viewable Rat, The Chicken Zombie Vampire Demon Proof Rat, The Norwegian Wood Hidden Beatles Reference Rat, The Brown If-It-Was-Visible, and the Invisible Rat. However, it is most commonly referred to as the Invisible Rat.

Head
Contains the Invisible Rats eyes, brain, ears, mouth and nose. A very important part of the Invisible Rat.
Eye
An organ found in the head, which converts light into electro-chemical impulses, allowing the Invisible Rat to see.
Pinna
The outer part of the ear, it collects sound and makes it travel further into the Invisible Rats ear.
Adaptation
Originally the ancestors of the Invisible Rat, the Brown Rat, once had Vibrissae also known as "Whiskers ". The Brown Rat would use these to help sense things in its surroundings. But the Invisible Rat has adapted its hearing and sight senses so much over the years that the Vibrissae became obsolete.
External Nares
The outer part of the nostril, used by the Invisible Rat to smell.
Manus
The "hand" or "claw"of the Invisible Rat. Used to pick up things and helps it to crawl.
Antebrachium
The fore-arm of the Invisible Rat, found between its wrist and its elbow, and much stronger than its ancestor the Brown Rat. See "Physiological Adaptations" below for more information.
Pes
The Latin word for foot. Always used in Zoology terms for the hind leg of the animal. In this case it is one of the Invisible Rats two back feet.
Brachium
The arm of the Invisible Rat, right above the Antebrachium. Much stronger than its ancestor the Brown Rats, see "Physiological Adaptations" below for more information.
Thorax
A part of the Invisible Rat between the abdomen and the head . Works as part of the rib cage and helps secure the heart and lungs of the Invisible Rat.
Abdomen
The belly of the Invisible Rat, situated between the thorax and the pelvis. It helps to secure its stomach.
Femur
Much like the thigh bone in a human, the Femur takes an important part in helping the Invisible Rat to walk and move around.
Tail
The long worm like part of the Invisible Rat stationed at the back, right above the anus. The Invisible Rat's tail is very important. It is used very well to help it balance when crawling across ledges and thin places.
Crus

The Crus is much like the Anterbrachium in the arm, but instead in the leg of the Invisible Rat. It is situated right between the ankle and the knee.

Mainly living in the United States, the Invisible Rat is a descendant of the Brown Rat which once inhabited nearly everywhere in the world excluding Antarctica, up until 2043 when the Un-Civil World War IV broke out, turning nearly every living human on earth into Chicken Zombie Vampire Demons. The Brown Rat soon found out that the main food source of Chicken Zombie Vampire Demons was the Brown Rat itself. The following report will outline the Habitat, Structural Adaptations, Behavioral Adaptations and Physiological Adaptations of the Invisible Rat.

Habitat

The Invisible Rat can survive nearly anywhere in the dark, this is due to its cloaking device; a natural layer of fur which reflects light and bends it around its body making it nearly completely invisible. Originally The Invisible Rat lived in alleyways and sewer systems, much like its ancestor the Brown Rat. But as the Chicken Zombie Vampire Demons began to grow increasingly smarter, they began lighting up alleyways and inhabiting sewer lines as sources for food. To thwart the plans of the Chicken Zombie Vampire Demons, the Invisible Rat began to build its homes out in uninhabited areas, such as parks and forests. In these areas the Invisible Rat would find itself a large tree and would dig burrows around it, much like a Meerkat would to create a nest. Not only are these burrows a good hiding spot from predators like the Chicken Zombie Vampire Demons, but this is also a good way for the Invisible Rat to see one another when staying in colonies, as rubbing the dirt into their fur makes them visible to one another (an important part of reproduction).

Other strains of the Invisible Rat have evolved to have warmer coats of fur , allowing them to hide in places like air vents and to live in colder places like Antarctica (a place which its ancestor the Brown Rat could not survive in). This makes hiding much easier, but has a disadvantage to its natural cloaking device as it makes them slightly more visible due to their size. The ancestor of the Invisible Rat once found a need to live in damp areas like sewers or river banks, so many older strains of the Invisible Rat which were caught by its predator are kept and bred in damp enclosures. But since 2076 the Invisible Rat began preferring to live in dry areas, another reason why trees were a good hiding spot. Those of the older breed who still have a want to live in damp areas usually dig burrows in grassy backyards near man-made (or chicken-made) swimming pools. So far the Chicken Zombie Vampire Demons have not figured out these hiding spots as they do not enjoy getting their feathers wet.

Structural Adaptations

The Invisible Rat was once able to squeeze through area's a quater of its size when being chased by a predator or when needing a small hiding spot, but nowadays hiding spots for the Invisible Rat are becoming rare in urban areas. Anything the Invisible Rat finds to hide in a usually much smaller than a quater of its size, for this reason the Invisible Rat is now able to squeeze through anything an eighth of its size. This is both due to its skeletal structure, and to do with its lung capacity (but a little more on that later.)

For a long period of time the Invisible Rat ate a large range of foods, similar to its ancestors, from macaroni with cheese to scrambled eggs! Foods like scrambled eggs has now become nearly impossible to find, as the Chicken Zombie Vampire Demons are not cannibals and much prefer to eat seed. For this reason the Invisible Rat's teeth have adapted to now eat mainly plantation, much like a herbivore. Now the invisible rats range goes all the way from grass to weeds, their teeth have become stronger, making them able to rip large pieces of grass and to break down bushes and branches when needed. Their teeth are also able to chew raw meat! When part of the clan dies for whatever reason, the Invisible Rat uses its teeth in groups of three to five to open up their dead member and eat up whatever they can.

Behavioral Adaptations

Over the history of rats, they have always been known to live and breed in large groups. This is still relevant to the Invisible Rat, but only to those who live out in forests and in parks. Other strains of the Invisible Rat who live in more urban areas do not want to risk extinction and so live and breed in much smaller groups (usually between 3 to 5). In these groups they groom one another, breed and entertain themselves with play fighting. But once these groups exceed five, the oldest male and the oldest female will ask the younger rats of the pack to leave and to find somewhere else to live.

Play fighting has been the highest form of rat-ertainment for hundreds of years. Originally it would just consist of boxing, tumbling, staring competitions, jumping competitions and chasing. But nowadays, thanks to their natural cloaking devices they have very intense games of hide and seek. As well as being competitive creatures, the Invisible Rat usually makes the game more interesting between one another. This is achieved between gambling over food, as well as fighting over females to reproduce with. It is very uncommon, but on occasion when a predator is around, the Invisible Rat will have staring competitions to see who gets the best hiding spot. Sometimes staring competitions even determine which of the Rat will survive, and which will be eaten.

Physiological Adaptations

For years Rats have been very fast creatures. But the Invisible Rat is by far the fastest Rat that has ever ran. Originally thought to be due to its bone structure, the amazing speed of the Invisible Rat is due to the strength produced in its forearms from the large amount of muscle and the ability within its joints to stretch out and move quickly without injuring itself. Since Chicken Zombie Vampire Demons are fast runners and flyers, and also have the ability to teleport, catching the Invisible Rat used to be easy. But over time they have adapted their speed. Not only does this help them outrun their predator, but used well with their natural cloaking device it can help them to make a quick and safe escape.
